A panel of college disability professionals will compare and contrast their services. Presenters will include life skills programs, as well as community and 4 year college programs.
10:00 11:15 The Journey: Where Do I Begin? An in-depth presentation by the keynote speakers and others for students and parents. Student sessions will include a Q&A with current and former students.
Parent Group 1: Those whose student is interested in attending a life skills college experience program.
Parent Group 2: Those whose student is interested in attending a community college on an academic or vocational path and/or a 4 year college.
Student Group 1: Those who are interested in attending a life skills college experience program.
Student Group 2: Those who are interested in attending a community college on an academic path or vocational path and/or a 4 year college.
11:3012:45 The Journey: Who Are My Partners? Parent Session: Professionals from agencies (other than academic) will speak about their services, eligibility requirements, and the application process.
Student Session: Transitions to Post-Secondary Learning Students will view a video that addresses college accommodations and self-advocacy and participate in a facilitated discussion.
