Irena Sendler | Life in A Jar Performance
Historic Congregation B'nai Abraham has a deeply rooted history and commitment to the Jewish values of tolerance and understanding. In this light, we present the play "Life in a Jar", The Irena Sendler Project. It is the compelling story of three high school students from Kansas, who uncovered the remarkable saga of Irena Sendler.
Irena Sendler was a Polish Catholic social worker who rescued over 2500 Jewish children from death during the Holocaust in the Warsaw Ghetto. She buried the lists of the children's names in jars in the hopes of reuniting the children with their parents after WWII.
