THE JERSEY DEVIL MOVIE WORLD PREMIER
The Jersey City International Television and Film Festival is proud to sponsor the World Premier of THE JERSEY DEVIL, an independent comedy film, in the historic Jersey City Loews Theatre which opened its polished brass doors on September 28, 1929. Journal Square, Jersey City was a regional crossroads with a stop on the "Tubes" subway line that ran between New York and Newark; scores of regional bus and trolley lines also converged there. The Jersey Devil was filmed in Jersey City.
So join us and follow this hilarious story of two devils and their fight for hell! When Lucifer's term limits come up, a new devil takes over with a vision to re-brand Hell; he wants something younger, cooler. After an exhaustive search he finds the perfect location for the new hell in Jersey City, New Jersey. As he begins to collect new souls to challenge the Kingdom, Lucifer comes to Jersey to foil his plans and return Hell to its original location.
The film stars veteran actors Chris Mulkey (Captain Phillips, Boardwalk Empire), David Chokachi (Baywatch) and Jack Mulcahy (Brothers McMullen) as well as award-winners Penelope Lagos (Stuck in the Middle) and Keith Collins (The Meat Puppet, Gravedigger).
The Jersey Devil is directed by two-time New York Emmy winner Joseph Pepitone. Joseph also co-wrote the script with his brother Billy Pepitone.
The Jersey City International Television & Film Festival, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded to provide a forum to enjoy the works of independent filmmakers from around the world!
The JCITFF will conduct its first film festival October 17-19, 2014. Ticket and pass information will be posted shortly.
The Jersey Devil is not recommended for ages 17 and under - mature themes, brief nudity.
