Beyond Therapy, a play by Christopher Durang
Join us for a hysterical play which focuses on two Manhattanites, Bruce and Prudence, who look good on paper and are both desperately seeking answers and romance. Yet when a harmless personal ad is placed, and then placed again, this farcical comedy twists and turns along a potential true love's rocky path.
Now, throw in their zany therapists; Charlotte, who can't remember the last word she says as she talks to her patients through a stuffed Snoopy doll, and Stuart, whose sexual conquests may trump those of his patients. Add to the mix, Bruce's jealous, gay, live-in lover Bob, and you've got a stew of eccentric yet all too real characters who seem to be living life just beyond therapy.
