This will be a half-day conference on Substance Abuse and Recovery, with special focus on adolescents and current concerns and responses in the Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County area.
Three Consecutive Sessions: Opiates and Opioid Substance Abuse Disorders: Treatment and Recovery Approaches Effective with Adolescents and Young Adults - An introductory session on medically based interventions and clinical supports necessary to motivate opiate/opioid addiction recovery.
Adolescent Substance Use Treatment Available through Washtenaw County's Juvenile Drug Court and Children's Services - Description of two treatment options currently available in Washtenaw County.
The Many Faces of Healing: Multi-therapeutic Approaches for Working with Adolescents and Families - Panel discussion on approaches to the behavioral needs of recovering adolescents and their families.
