Little Shop of Horrors

The Newington Children's Theatre Company is proud to present the doo-wop spoof of 1950s & '60s sci-fi disaster movies, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, October 24-26 (Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm).

Join over a dozen area college and high school-age actors "downtown" Newington as they bring this delightfully demented musical comedy to the NCTC stage. Follow the misadventures of Seymour, a down-and-out floral assistant who longs to get the girl of his dreams and escape life on skid row. Seymour becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for a strange snack...fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination! Laced with dark humor and irresistible music, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS is one of the longest-running off-Broadway shows of all time!
