National Pit Bull Awareness Day 2014 - "Celebrating America's Dog"
Join local non-profit groups SoCal Pitbull TEAM and OC Pitbull Rescue for our annual fun-filled day in Huntington Beach's Central Park for National Pit Bull Awareness Day 2014! This year's event will include a patriotic-themed costume contest and parade so your furry friends should come RED CARPET READY in their red white and blue finest. We will have sponsor booths, professional photo fun-booth for you and your pooch, giveaways, raffle, prizes and MORE! Join us for a POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT TRAINING DEMO by pro trainers, and see if YOUR pit bull breed ambassador qualifies for SCPBT's first annual AKC Canine Good Citizenship certification event this winter. A lunchtime picnic in the park will follow with gourmet hot dogs from Military Dawgs (or pack a picnic!) Your registration includes admission, event t-shirt, goodie bag, and all proceeds go to support bully breed dogs in need.

Event Rules:
*All dogs on leash at all times (no retractable leashes)
*One dog per adult
*No one under the age of 15 responsible for walking dogs
*All dogs MUST be spayed or neutered
*All dogs must have up to date vaccinations
*All dogs must be friendly and socialized (no muzzles or choke collars)
Adoptable dogs are welcome as long as rules above are met and handler registers for event. Adoptable dogs should wear their vests/bandanas for visibility at the event.
The Dog Event Center at Central Park is located behind Armstrong Garden Center on the corner of Goldenwest and Slater. Free parking is on SLATER. Enter the lot and look to the right to find our event check-in and red (white and blue)carpet.
