Halloween Masquerade Ball
Ellensburg's only adult Halloween dance.
On October 31st 2014 the Ellensburg Community Dance Program will be opening the doors of Hal Holmes for an evening of masked fun. This is a fundraiser to help the E.C.D. All Star Competition Team raise money for their competitions in Tacoma and Las Vegas Spring 2015.
There will be both live and recorded music, performances by the E.C.D. All Star Team, a concession stand, a dessert bar, refreshments, live paintings done by local artist that will be auctioned off at the end of the night, two ballroom dances performed by VIP guests and the E.C.D. All Star Team, and prizes for the Best Mask, Best Costume, and Best Overall Attire, and a raffle drawing for a gift certificate to a local business.
Time:Doors open at 8 p.m. doors close at 11:30 p.m.
Venue: Hal Holmes Teanaway and Ellensburg Rooms. Enter through Teanaway Room
Ticket Prices: VIP - $25 General - $15
VIP Tickets: Includes learning the two all guest ballroom routines, front row spots for entertainment, one concession stand ticket, and one free raffle ticket for local gift certificates.
Concession Stand and Dessert Table: Available from 8:30 - 10:30
Guest please keep in mind this is a fundraiser for a youth program and we are trying to replicate an authentic mid-century masquerade ball, so modesty is a must when selecting attire. If any quest arrives with a costume that we feel is inappropriate they will be asked to cover themselves up or leave without a refund. If you have any questions about your costume please do not hesitate to ask us before hand as we wish everyone to enjoy this experience.
Costumes can be handmade or purchased. Many halloween costume sights offer masquerade costume options. CWU also has a fabulous costumer and rents out costumes.
Guests are encouraged not to inform other quests of who they are as we will be doing a guess the guest game and unveiling at the end of the night. Winners receive local gift certificates.
Due to this being a fundraiser for our dancers and our youth, we will not be serving alcohol. Any quests caught with alcohol, appearing intoxicated, or appearing under the influence of drugs will be ejected immediately. We want this to be a fun and safe environment for not only our dancers, but our community members and staff.
