Drawing attention to inner silence, one can discover wakefulness that is refreshing, unfabricated, and connects to the source of creativity within. Yet often when we try to meditate, we sit passively, uncomfortably aware of the restless, chattering mind. In this workshop we will explore the practice of the Five Warrior Syllables, in which we chant five seed syllables or sacred sounds while successively bringing our attention to five chakras, subtle energy centers in the body. The combination of sound and open attention releases habitual patterns of thought and supports open awareness lively connection to the clear and open space of being, one's natural mind. These sacred sounds can promote the healing of physical illness, clear psychological and energetic disturbances, and cultivate positive qualities such as love, compassion, joy, and equanimity. The group sound provides a powerful entrance into deep, silent meditation, helping to calm the mind's chatter and support the awakening of authentic presence, rich and resourceful. Join us to explore this simple and direct path that begins with openness and leads to spontaneous positive expression that benefits yourself and others.
This is an introductory experience for beginning and advanced meditation practitioners alike.
