So many believers are living defeated, disillusioned lives. While they believe in God and have received Christ as Savior, many Christians have never experienced the freedom and joy Jesus promises. An assortment of wounds, disappointments, and bondage keep them from the abundant life Christ offers. Encounter Weekends target these hindrances through instruction and prayer to see the freedom Jesus promised released.

Come and encounter God through:

*Experiencing repentance, love, and forgiveness through the cross of Jesus Christ

*Freedom from addictions, habitual sin, and bondage

*Healing of wounds from the past.

*Empowering and refreshing through the infilling of the Holy
Spirit.

*Understanding your role in God's story of redemption

Who is hosting this event?
The women's ministry of First Baptist Church in Pittsfield, Maine is organizing this Encounter weekend with teachers and ministers from other local churches. This will be the same basic format as the Encounter Weekends previously hosted by Imago Dei Anglican Church.

What will we be doing?
Our sessions include worship music, teaching, quiet reflection, and prayer ministry.

Can I come late or leave early?
Because each session builds on the next, we strongly suggest that you make the commitment to come and stay for the entire weekend. We understand that there are many other things calling for your attention and that it is difficult to get away. We encourage you to see it as an investment in your relationship with God that will bring refreshment and renewal to many areas of your life. It's worth it ;)

What is provided?
All Saturday meals, Sunday breakfast and lunch, and snacks throughout the weekend. You should plan on eating supper before you come on Friday. Gluten-free options are available, and we may be able to accommodate other needs if you let us know ahead of time. We will be sleeping on bunk beds and you will need to bring your own bedding, pillow, and towels. Showers are available.
