Something Precious The Musical
Under the direction of Anthony Abeson a company came together to create a musical about a force that has become pertinent in our lives, technology. Abeson led our group using mystical and some would say "outdated" forms of creating. This show has been a collaboration of ideas, melodies, lyrics, and movement choices that our director has shaped and molded into a fascinating and hysterical show.

When we first began our journey, all we had was a concept. Over the course of many rehearsals and several months we wrote songs, dialogue, created complex characters, and ultimately created life on the stage. A couple of months ago this show, these characters, this music, and this story didn't even exist. It is our hope that watching this show will remind you how beautiful life can be when a screen isn't causing interference.

We follow our lead character Lily on a journey to fight for love but with the obsession for technology constantly growing, she faces many obstacles on the way. Meanwhile, a clan of homeless people and a two woman band try to raise money for Over The Rainbow, a non-profit outreach center that is being shut down. With characters including Vets, a clan of Homeless people, a two woman band, an oddly diverse family, robbers, good witches, bad witches, a hero, and a villain, this musical will not only make you think but will also make you laugh!

Something Precious is absolutely a must see!

Tara Fenamore as Nora Ashley Bernick
Tara was once a delicate moth weaving with buoyant grace around a quivering flame. She met her end like Lot's wife - when a wing casually grazed the luminous blaze. She presently grapples with the human condition through the medium of theater. She is a proud member of Anthony Abeson's The Pigeon Theater Company and The Seed Group, the resident NYC company of Jerzy Grotowski's successor, Mario Biagini. The Seed Group works in collaboration with The Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards in Pontedera, Italy. She is a graduate of The New Actors Workshop, Sarah Lawrence College and a student of Anthony Abeson. She is still learning to negotiate her relationship to the flame. She really likes metaphor and the cast of Something Precious.

Michael Fernandes as James
