'The Raven' at Rosson House
Actor James David Porter brings his critically-acclaimed performance of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven' back to the historic Rosson House Museum on Halloween Night. Starting at 7:30pm 'The Raven' will be performed every twenty minutes until 9:30pm. Tickets are only $10.
The Raven Finale at Rosson House is standing room only. There is no seating. Running time is approximately 15 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
Still sitting on its original foundation laid circa 1895 in present-day Heritage Square, Rosson House is a beautiful Eastlake architectural style Victorian home. Purchased by the City in 1974, Rosson House has been authentically restored through the contributions of many individuals, groups, and businesses. Today Rosson House is a living history museum which preserves the lifestyle of one of the most prominent homes in early Phoenix during Arizona's late territorial era.
Built for Dr. and Mrs. Roland Lee Rosson, the house boasts a long history of ghastly visitors -- the sounds of footsteps on the stairs, caretakers and docents inexplicably getting locked out, the sound of someone turning a key, sudden changes in temperature, and more.
Strikingly Gothic in appearance, Rosson House makes for a chilling backdrop for 'The Raven'. Every twenty minutes on Halloween Night, we will perform 'The Raven' inside Rosson House for the public. Enter -- if you dare!
