Reconnecting with the River: Confluence Project's Vancouver Land Bridge
"The land bridge is a real link connecting back to the Klickitat Trail, Lewis and Clark, and the development of the Northwest. It completes a circle that's been broken" -Johnpaul Jones, Vancouver Land Bridge architect and founding partner of Jones & Jones.
Join Confluence Project and contributing land bridge artist, Lillian Pitt (Wasco, Yakama, Warm Springs) as we share how design has reclaimed physical and cultural connection to this long standing place of significance for the Pacific Northwest. Scenic overlooks, expanses of native prairie, and artworks shape the path on the bridge.
Confluence Project explores the confluence of history, culture and ecology along the Columbia River system through public art.
Find the parking lot at the end of SE Columbia Way near Who Song and Larry's and the riverfront park. Enter by crossing underpass to Old Apple Tree Park.
