DANZA DREAMS
Danza Dreams is a vision of three groups performing together to bring two amazing shows to the Presentation Theatre at the University of San Francisco. Los Alteños of Sacramento, Ensambles of San Francisco and Tonantzin of Half Moon Bay come together to celebrate la danza on stage and to begin the first undocumented scholarship fund for the School of Education at the USF.
The 12:30PM matinee show will feature Grupo Tonantzin, a youth Ballet Folklorico group from Half Moon Bay under the Artistic Direction of Zenon Barron, along with Juvenil Mariachi Media Luna. Grupo Folklórico Los Altenos and Ensambles Ballet Folklórico will also perform an abbreviated version of the full evening performance.
The 7PM show will highlight the Ensambles Ballet Folklórico, under the Artistic Direction of Zenon Barron and Grupo Folklórico Los Altenos, under the Co-Direction of Manuel Alejandro Pérez and Osvaldo Ramirez Vidales.
Danza DREAMs is a collective celebration of dance, tradition and Mexican folklore honoring various regions of Mexico. Danza DREAMs captures the beauty of the people of Mexico and the dreams that are embedded in each of us, alive in dance and song.
