The Shake The Hand That Feeds You Dinner at Flying J Farm has been one of the most highly anticipated events for food lovers around Ohio for years. This joyful evening of celebrating food tradition never fails to amaze. Dinner guests gather together to experience the reality of good, clean and fair food, celebrate food diversity, and support delegates attending the unforgettable Terra Madre conference in Italy this coming October.

As ready stomachs gather together at Flying J, guests will be able to visit the silent auction, check out the food being grown and cooked on site, or simply converse with other food lovers. The warm dreamy haze of an evening in the open country is enough to stun guests, even without adding the culinary mastery of James Beard Award nominee Kent Rigsby of Rigsby's Kitchen. Mixologist Nicolene Schwartz (from MoJoe Lounge) will be making drinks and Jeni Britton-Bauer (creator of Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream) has agreed to make us a special pawpaw-flavored ice cream ahead of time for our dessert. Guests will savor these flavors over dinner as the ambience spurs on laughter, curiosity, and conversation. This event will be a window into the beauty of supporting local farmers and tastemakers. Yet another unique opportunity to make food memories with Slow Food.
