3/2 Reunion
On Saturday May 23rd, 2015, Marines and Sailors from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines will travel near and far to commemorate and reflect on the actions that took place in 2005 and 2006. I can not think of any other date more fitting for A Ten Year Reunion than Memorial Day Weekend.

All Marines and Sailors, who served on either the Al Anbar or Habbaniyah deployments, or both, are invited to attend this event. In addition, Gold Star families are invited to attend in honor of there falling Hero.

We lost 17 Marines during our time in Iraq. This event will be a great opportunity to honor and reflect on our fallen brothers who are not able to attend the event as well as a time to get together with the families of the fallen.

It is Memorial Day weekend that weekend so there will be plenty of things to see and do. We can do the Museum on Saturday followed by the Reunion dinner at night and on Sunday we can nurse our hangovers and maybe do a trip to Arlington Cemetery or go see the sights.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia has invited us to use the Museum and Ballroom to host a dinner of a max occupancy of 650 people. Do not delay in buying your tickets as this event is more than likely to sell out. T-shirts and Challenge Coins are being sold to raise money for the event to help offset the ticket costs for our Brothers. For most of us, we have not been together as a "group" since some of us have been released from Active Duty. Take this opportunity to get together with your Brothers and enjoy the experience of DC on Memorial Day Weekend.

The price we were given is a good deal and it has been negotiated down. It includes buffet dinner with many options, beer and wine all night and admission to the Museum exhibits. The fees that you are seeing associated with the tickets and raffle unfortanteuly could not be negotiated and they are fees for using this website/service.

Chris Lafave has found a hotel in Alexandria. Residence Inn at discounted rate. 50 rooms blocked off for now and we will get more when needed.

The Raffles that you see above going to be raffled at the Museum. Unfortunately it is a government building and raffles can not be sold inside the building so they only way to purchase raffle tickets will be through this website and we will draw the raffles at the Reunion dinner.

1 Smith and Wesson MP 15 sport rifle with the last four digits of the rifle serial number ending in 311...pretty bad ass right??

***FULL DISCLOSURE*** i have worked very hard to get my local gun shop to donate this rifle and upon doing so i had to agree to make this rifle open to the general public. The gun store owner still is a small business owner and he needs the business as much as anyone. So beware that the winner of the rifle may not be a Marine from 3/2 but all the proceeds from the raffle are still being donated to our reunion for other great things. The rifle raffle is the ONLY raffle open to the public.

Please spread the word to all members and fellow Bastards. 10 years has come and gone and I know it would probably do a lot of good for the Marines and Sailors if we got together for a good time.
