Slam poetry can be both tough and tender. Renowned performance poet Gayle Danley explores the secret sides of her life in the debut of her show INTIMATE.
Guests will be entertained by this vulnerable performance while relaxing in the brand new home of Baltimore's cutting edge venue SINGLE CARROT THEATRE.
International and National Poetry Slam Champion and Baltimore's own Gayle Danley has been featured on 60 minutes, Baltimore Sun, and Washington Post. This graduate of Howard University and Syracuse University uses poetry to touch and heal the lives of people all across America. She believes that words are more than just what we say they are also what we live. They are a way to bond us to one another in meaningful, life-altering ways. Poetry reminds us 'we are not alone.'
Those 18 and up will love the down home feel of Gayle's work and be shocked at just how far she'll to open herself up completely to the audience.
