DANNY KAY AND THE NIGHTLIFERS || PAT REEDY & THE LONGTIME GONERS
DANNY KAY & THE NIGHTLIFERS ************************************************* Danny Kay and The Nightlifers were formed in 2003 in Baltimore, Md. Danny Kay, a Baltimore native, had an extreme love and respect for Classic Country and Rockabilly music. He wanted to play the music he loved, keeping it more traditional, but to also make it his own. With all the pop and rock country on the radio, Danny wanted to show that the music he loved so much was not out dated and releveant. With Johnny Ray "Lawless" Carroll on bass and Jimmy Swope on Lead Guitar they did just that.
After only a few shows around the Baltimore area the Nightlifers found a monthly home at The Full Moon Saloon, Baltimore's Home of the Blues. They would play all night and also have area and regional bands join them to bring Baltimore a great night of music.
After a few years of playing local and regional shows the boys decided to put the band on hiatus. Danny somtimes found fill in players or played solo while Johnny toured with JB Beverley and Jimmy played his own music.
In 2010, Johnny came to Danny with a new guitar player, Zach Sweeney, to get the band to start playing again. There was a new spark in the band and a driving force to record and tour.
In 2011, less than a year after getting the band back together, the long awaited first CD, Headin' Home was released. It was all the original songs Danny had wrote for the band with a few extras.
Now, with the release of their second CD "Crazy Lonesome Blue", The Nightlifers are quickly gaining recognition in the American Roots, Alt. Country, and Rockabilly Genres.

PAT REEDY & THE LONGTIME GONERS ************************************************ Pat Reedy & the Longtime Goners are a group of musicians from all corners of the U.S. brought together by their love of good times, good people and hootenany music! For the past three years they have all worked together in keeping their band alive as well as their purpose which is to share honest, hard-working, original country music with everybody everywhere. They have toured the country playing with a line up like no other:
Pat Reedy, longtime songwriter, pulled together a band of buddies whose love for the music cannot be ignored. Alternating songs with Pat is Ronnie Aitkens, who like Pat, writes songs from the heart and just plain living. He brings a nice lonesome country spice to the table.
Southern Louisiana-native Tony Frickey on drums and Alaskan Corey McGillivary on bass can be heard keeping the songs tight and old school throughout the show alongside John James playing Pedal Steel to Fiddle to any damn thing you hand him.
From the honkytonks in Montana to the Woody Guthrie Festival in Oklahoma and on over to your Grandpas back yard barbecue and down to New Orleans! Pat Reedy & the Longtime Goners keep an old tradition alive that stands strong beside our Country Heroes and Hillbilly Hobos! -- Riley Downing (of the Tumbleweeds.)
