Ripple Effect Theatre Company presents Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett
Voted "the most significant English language play of the 20th century", and spawning the "Theatre of the Absurd" genre, Waiting for Godot was Samuel Beckett's first professionally produced play. The story line revolves around two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone or something named Godot. Vladimir and Estragon wait near a tree on a barren stretch of road, inhabiting a drama spun from their own consciousness. Over the years, Beckett clearly realized that the greater part of Godot's success came down to the fact that it was open to a variety of interpretations, and that this was not necessarily a bad thing. Please note that this show has some adult language and subject matter.
