Bethany's Story documentary on the power of healing from within, with Producer, Janet McKee

The film "Bethany's Story" is about the power to heal from within, produced by the non-profit health and wellness organization SanaView. It documents a girl's illness from its onset to recovery. It illustrates how food, not medication, consistently proves to be a dominant factor in healing and reversing illness and disease.

At age thirteen, Bethany was left paralyzed from a series of bad reactions to medication. For years doctors told her she would never walk again. On her own, Bethany discovered and adopted a vegan (raw) plant-based diet and within a short amount of time she was out of her chair standing and walking. "Our body has this amazing ability to rejuvenate and repair and regenerate," says Dr. Michael Gregor.

The film chronicles Bethany's illness from onset to recovery and includes heart-wrenching accounts from her friends and family. Understanding and witnessing some of the incredible challenges this family encountered truly shows the impact serious health issues have on everyone. Hearing the scientific facts presented by all of the medical experts brings this solution fully to the forefront. As Dr. Gabriel Cousens states in the film, "These are not miracles. We have the science that makes it very clear," shows that this is not just an anecdotal account of one odd story, but a scientifically proven solution. Dr. Brian Clement states that raw foods is not a fad but a proven solution that is here to stay.

Illustrating these points are interviews with leading medical and nutrition experts such as Neal Barnard, MD, founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Michael Gregor, MD, founder of NutritionFacts.org, Gabriel Cousens, MD, Dr. Brian Clement, Brenda Davis R.D., and Lewis Mehl-Madrona, MD.

The film's director and founder of the SanaView non-profit organization, Janet McKee, will be here!

Janet McKee hopes the audience becomes inspired to begin making better choices with food and lifestyle:

"I've known for some time that food choices are critical for good physical health, but after working on this film, I have no doubt in my mind that there is no greater medicine than food for true healing of the body...Inspiration is the first step to helping others make positive changes, and this film is a key tool to create the desire in others," says McKee.

"We have had so many people tell us how the film has changed their lives, and some, too, who have had amazing recoveries from illness when they changed their diet. I feel such gratitude in my heart to have the opportunity to be part of this movement."
