What is this?
A Jangleheart Circus is a three-day (mostly improv) comedy festival organized by the Upstairs Gallery at the Den Theatre on August 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. It's going to feature Upstairs Gallery house teams, regular UG productions, some fun out of town folks, and other awesome Chicago shows.
Why?
Because it was such a blast last year! Did you go? Oh man, it was way fun. For real though, we're lucky to live in a city where there is so much fantastic comedy being created and performed so frequently. We've been extra lucky to work with so many talented folks through the Upstairs Gallery. This festival is a celebration of all the fantastic stuff thats going on right now. So come enjoy, laugh, and celebrate with us.
What is different this year?
We got a fourth stage. So even more shows! Ticket prices are increasing to $25 for 1 day passes and $60 for 3 day passes
What's the Den Theatre like?
It's great! It is a multi theater complex in the Wicker Park Neighborhood of Chicago. We sprung to rent out the ENTIRE place this year with 4 theaters and 3 lobby spaces.

When do tickets go on sale?
Early July!
Why day passes? Why can't I buy a ticket to see the one show I really want to see?
Because we want you to come and see a TON of shows! If you want to just see that one team, you can do that all year long. Chances are you can catch any of the groups performing often all over the city. The idea behind Jangleheart Circus is to expose audiences and performers to creative shows that they might not be familiar with. In addition we're making a big effort this year to increase the quality of shows even further.
So I'm buying a ticket at there is no guarantee I'll get to see everything that I want?
It may happen, and we're sorry for that. BUT! We're going to have shows going on four stages, so if you get shut out of one show, there are going to be two other great groups playing at the same time. Plus, we're going to have some cool stuff going on in the lobby area as well.
