Anchorage Doors open 6pm for viewing of the Gyre Exhibit and reception Films begin 7pm
Anchorage general admission ticket price includes a special viewing of Gyre: The Plastic Ocean exhibit as well as a reception before the films begin. The Gyre exhibit is a collection of artwork created by internationally recognized artists who compiled debris from trash found on beaches around the world. This exhibit is a great introduction into our films that also explore the relationship between humans and nature.
We hand picked twelve inspiring outdoor and adventure films for this year's program, creating a program that is full of inspiring films, educational stories, and adventure. Join us for an evening full of breathtaking films that will educate and inspire. This year's program will not only take audiences to some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet, but introduce them to the magnificent animals that inhabit these places and the courageous individuals who are working to protect and preserve both for future generations. The films instill a deep appreciation and a sense of wonder for the natural world that surrounds and supports us. You won't want to miss the second annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival on the Kenai Peninsula.
