FAF Beginning-Intermediate Flamenco Guitar
CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This class is open to guitarists interested in learning various flamenco techniques and styles. The specific class level will be determined on the day of class. INSTRUCTOR'S BIO:
Victor Marquez "El Tomate" is a descendant of a family of flamenco guitarists known as "Los Tomates de Cordoba." He studied under the tutelage of his cousin, Juan Manuel Muñoz and continued his studies with his uncle Juan "El Tomate" who also instructed him in vocal accompaniment. Professionally, he has worked in numerous shows with artists, such as Rafael Bitter, Jose Porcel, Manuel Linan, Antonio Canales, Guadalupe Torres, Cecilia Gomez, Olga Pericet, among others. He works regularly in flamenco tablaos, such as Flamenco Tokyo, Las Carboneras, Villarosa, Corral De La Pacheca, and Casa Patas.
