THE DIRT ROAD RAMBLERS + KEVIN BOWE & THE OKEMAN PROPHETS
A Night to Celebrate "The Legend of Charley White" w/ Live DRR - CD giveaway The Dirt Road Ramblers has roots in the soil of America and a wayfaring spirit recognizable in the narrative pilgrimages from the Blue Ridge Mountains to Nashville, Tennessee to roads unnamed and unknown undertaken in their music. With members reared in northern Minnesota and central Florida, the DRR uses Minneapolis, Minn., as its current hitching post. With three years of collaboration under its belt, the band showcases songs with traditional American roots sounds, influenced by the likes of hard work, whiskey, and women.Their second album, "The Legend of Charley White'", released in April 2014, is 9 boot stompin' songs arranged over the course of the last two years, demonstrating the band's commitment to carrying on the tradition of classic American songwriting. Look out now, Charley's on the run! The Okemah Prophets (Oh-kee-mah) are a band out of Minneapolis, led by singer/songwriter Kevin Bowe. Bowe has a long history as a guitarist/writer/producer, landing 3 platinums and songs on 2 Grammy winning albums working with Paul Westerberg, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Etta James and others. The Okemah Prophets are what happens when he's singing and playing his own songs.their live shows are a reminder that American rock and roll will always be cool, no indie rock posturing needed here, just soul, songwriting and a crack 3 piece band to play them loud.
