PASS IT ON...AN EVENING WITH BILL W. & DR. BOB
The National Tour of PASS IT ON... AN EVENING WITH BILL W. & DR. BOB - LIVE ON STAGE at The CREST THEATRE in DELRAY BEACH FLORIDA  AUGUST 21-24, 2014 Thurs, Sat, Sun @ 2pm/Thurs, Fri, Sat 7:30pm.   All proceeds will be donated to Recovery Advocates of America, Inc.

Pass It On An Evening with Bill W. & Dr. Bob transports you to the late 1940's as if you are at an old time recovery meeting with the beloved co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous as the keynote speakers. They tell their stories, share their experience, strength and hope, dramatize key events  such as their legendary drinking sprees and the extraordinary night they met in Akron Ohio in 1935. Bill W. and Dr. Bob regale the audience with fascinating and hilarious yarns about the early history of A.A.  including writing and publishing the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, creating the 12 Steps and how they overcame tremendous obstacles as they struggled to develop their new program of recovery and pass it on to others who were still suffering.

This unique celebration of sobriety delivers the message of hope, help and the miracle of recovery serving as the centerpiece for The National Recovery Education Campaign. Pass It On was created to raise awareness about the solution to America's Number One Public Health Issue  the disease of Alcoholism and Addiction.

Pass It On An Evening with Bill W. & Dr. Bob has created excitement among audiences and recovery communities in dozens of cities across the United States and Canada. This dynamic two man show features nationally acclaimed professional actors Gary Kimble and Will Stutts.

Pass It OnAn Evening with Bill W. & Dr. Bob will be presented in over 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada in 2014. This production has been invited to appear internationally and will be presented during the 80th International A.A. Convention in Atlanta Georgia in 2015.

This limited engagement in Delray Beach launches the Fall/Winter leg of this production's third year of touring North America - offering audiences an unforgettable evening of theater, enhancing recovery and reaching people who cannot be reached in any other way.

Addiction and Alcoholism have reached pandemic proportions, afflicting 1 in 6 adults. 1 in 4 children are suffering from homelessness, hunger and neglect due to addicted parents. Last year over 8000 college students died on American Campuses due to binge drinking and addiction. 10,000 Military personnel are dis-honorably discharged each month in the U.S.A. due to this baffling and powerful disease. Over 80 percent of all illegal drugs on planet earth are consumed in North America resulting in a devastating negative impact on the social, economic and spiritual health of our nation.

By the time I was in my early 20's I was a full blown drug addict and drunk  and a successful actor touring the world performing in Broadway musicals. Along the way, I slipped into alcoholic madness, and lost touch. In my late 30's I hit rock bottom, lost everything  and just before over dosing and slipping into a coma  I reached out for help. I slowly came to and after 3 trips to rehab the fog lifted and I came to believe  I began to regularly attend 12 Step Meetings. Thanks to 12 Step Recovery I have been given a life beyond my wildest dreams. Today I am able to give and receive love freely and my primary desire and purpose in life is to pass on to others what has so freely been given to me and carry the message of hope and the miracle of recovery through the power of the arts and raise the healing consciousness of anyone who suffers with our common disease."- Gary K.

WILL STUTTS  (DR. BOB)   Will Stutts began his Broadway Stage career in 1968 opposite Ellis Rabb. He has been engaged in professional theatre as an actor, director, playwright and producer for over four decades in a career that includes graduate studies at Yale University, seven Broadway productions and more than 40 Off-Broadway dramas and comedies. His TV credits include George Washington, the mini-series with Barry Bostwick, and narration of the PBS series Voices and Visions.  He has performed and/or directed at virtually every major regional theatre in America included the famed Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, and Virginia's historic Barter Theatre.  A pioneer in the genre of the one person play, he is, perhaps, the most prolific practitioner of the form in the world with some 22 one person plays to his credit including Frank Lloyd Wright which was nominated for the Barrymore Award for Outstanding New Play,1996.  His two-character play, Oscar Wilde's Lover, was included in Best Plays 1998-99. "Although I am not alcoholic  like most people  I have been personally impacted by this disease. Members of my family were afflicted with alcoholism and the effects of their disease were devastating. Through portraying Dr.Bob I gained a clearer understanding of the alcoholic mind which has helped me to acquire deeper compassion for those who suffer from alcoholism and addiction."  Will Stutts
