After months of inquiries and requests, PhilaMOCA is pleased to announce the Philadelphia Premiere of cult sensation FATEFUL FINDINGS. Already a midnight movie staple in art houses and hip cinemas across the nation, the latest film from Las Vegas real estate agent turned filmmaker/actor Neil Breen is a genre-defying effort of lunatic proportions that will be a surefire hit amongst fans of THE ROOM, GETEVEN, and other masterpieces of the modern outsider film genre.
Synopsis:
"It's a magical day" are the words scribbled onto the notebook of Dylan's childhood girlfriend as they discover what seems to be a mystical pendant buried under a mushroom in the forest. Years later (thirty or so for Dylan, maybe fifteen for his attractive childhood sweetheart), Dylan has a master's degree in computer science and is an acclaimed novelist, living with his pill-popping girlfriend in a modest apartment. A brutal car accident reignites Dylan's paranormal abilities and fuels his ambition as a covert hacker to expose shocking government secrets. As the spectral presence increases, Dylan's relationship with his current girlfriend crumbles, and the passion between him and his old flame grows more intense, and more dangerous. Fateful Findings delivers a knockout combination of completely absurd actions and reactions, deadpan dialogue from socially inept characters, and ghostly special effects reminiscent of the early '90s children's show Ghostwriter. The bizarre dry humor found in this low-budget, genre-defying film, paired with its penchant for outrageous scenes of violence, may very well create a cult following for the incomparable Neil Breen. FATEFUL FINDINGS is the latest film from filmmaker/actor/architect/racecar driver Neil Breen. His previous work includes 2005's terrorist action thriller DOUBLE DOWN and the almost unclassifiable 2009 surrealist drama I AM HERE....NOW.
