Awesome Burlesque 101 with Annie Cherry
Titillated by tassels? Bump 'n' Grind on your mind?
Annie Cherry teaches the many facets of burlesque performance art. We will cover concept, movement, choreography, costuming, staging, musicality, and more. We will work together to find your performance style and develop your stage persona. You will be learning a group number as well as developing your very own solo act. Prepare to be dazzling!
Class convenes every other week at The Buffalo Room in Kansas City, Missouri. (All classes are on Thursday evenings fro 6pm to 7:30pm EXCEPT Wednesday, October 22nd.) We will meet Thursday, August 28th, Thursday, September 11th, and Thursday, the 25th, Thursday, October 9th, Wednesday, October 22nd, Thursday, November 6th, and class culminates in a semi-private invitation only recital (date TBA). Registration for this session also entitles you to a private one hour lesson with Annie Cherry. You will also receive digital photographic images from your recital performance.
Class size is limited, so register right away! This class is open to all genders.
Annie Cherry is a visual and performing artist, specializing in atmospheric immersive theatrical experiences and, seemingly, time travel. She is a nationally known burlesque performer, a R-rated clown, a Mistress of Ceremonies for hire, a comedy writer, and an ordained ceremonial officiant. Ms. Cherry performs, teaches, produces, and creates, when she's not cuddling all of her cats.
