Norsk Melodier: Concert, Scandinavian Hoedown and Silent Auction
At "Norsk Melodier," local singer/actor/educator Amanda Underwood will perform a concert of folk songs fresh from a grant-funded trip to study the folk singing traditions of Norway! Local folk dance instructor Steven Peterson will lead a mixer of fun, accessible group dances - like a Scandinavian Square Dance! - along with some instruction in simple partner dances like waltz and schottische. Along with these programs, we'll be running a Silent Auction, with all proceeds helping to raise much needed funds for the Twin Cities Scandinavian Family Festival!
