CO-OP OLYMPICS
The CO-OP OLYMPICS is a first-time event series aimed at nurturing a culture of cooperation and celebrating teamwork in a way that is exciting and fun. The Co-op Olympics will be a series of cooperative games that will allow teams to showcase their mastery of the skills needed to build and sustain supportive relationships in all aspects of life. It will be held in the newly designed Hunts Point Landing which is a brand new park in Hunts Point and this is part of a series of events that are kicking off the opening of the park. This effort is supported by the New York City Economic Development Corporation. TheCO-OP OLYMPICS are a fun way to build and improve existing communication, trust, problem solving, and cooperative skills, to inspire cooperation, and build a strong sense of community. Located off of Food Center Drive, Hunts Point Landing is accessible by bus and a network of pedestrian and bicycle pathways that are part of the overall South Bronx Greenway.
You can take Trains 2,5 or 6 to Bx6 towards Hunts Point. Exit Food Center Dr/Farragut St Activities include:
Mine Field teams have to get one of their members, who is blindfolded, out of a "mine field" using only verbal instructions
Group Juggle Board walk teams must walk together across a field in unison with their legs tied to 2"x4"s and lots more!
