THE EARLY SHOW:
Night Rhymers (OKC) Mix the "cutest boy band you've ever seen" with two bona fide Broadway divas and a musical genius, and you get the Night Rhymers, presenting improvised musical madness around the OKC metro and beyond. OKC Improv's musical director Kyle Gossett (Twinprov, Villain: The Musical, Ballpark Theatre Company) is joined by Cristela Carrizales, Ryan Croft, Kendon Lacy Kellen Hodgeson, Heather Winstead, and musical accompanist Corie Melaugh for a journey through the musical multiverse; no world is off-limits, and no world is without music. Student Show (OKC) Clint Vrazel's Level 3 class will perform.
Heel Turn Heel Turn is Ann-Lisette Caveny, Kellen Hodgeson, Tim Huckeby, and Kelly Lawson. Formed on a dare from Bill Clinton in 1992, Hell Turn is the cream of the improv comedy crop. These four compadres take the audience's generous suggestion and deliver a fast-paced improvised long-form montage that will make you question art itself. "Heel Turn is an incredible show. Villain: The Musical (OKC) formed 4 years ago when some improvisers joined with a self-trained musician and a classically-trained musical theatre actress to stretch the boundaries of the possible in musical improv and deliver a high energy, high-stakes, fully-improvised longform musical complete with improvised tunes, choreography, and, of course, show-stopping numbers to sing-along with! Villain's cast has changed, but it has continued to perfect the musical long-form, delighting fans at regular local shows and receiving standing ovations and repeat invitations at festival performances around the country. Take One Productions (OKC) was started in 2007, by the troupe's Founder & Director, Cory Phillips. Since those early days, we have grown in size and popularity.
