This is a summer camp workshop in which children 8+ will learn how to release their inner clown while understanding the history of the circus and how circus arts play a fundamental role in personal creativity, imagination, teamwork and growth.
Those who care to learn will be taught methods of physical movement, makeup and costume to enhance their own personal clown while also testing and obtaining basic circus skills to incorporate into performance theater.
This workshop will also teach theatrical magic for those interested in learning the basic secrets and principles that started Houdini, David Blaine and Chris Angel on their paths to magical fame.
Students will gain knowledge and techniques behind the performance of magic with coins, cards, handkerchiefs and other items with the ability to create their own effects utilizing common place and household objects.
Children will combine these performance skills learning from Just Sage, a magician and physical clown who has 15+ years in the industry as a professional entertainer.
Campers will practice with each other in class utilizing all of these marvelous skills, ideas, knowledge and patter to perform these feats with proper delivery and timing while gaining the confidence to approach the public for performance of quality theatrical entertainment for audiences of all sizes and ages.
