Girdwood Fungus Fair Forays
The 7th annual Girdwood Fungus Fair will be held the weekend before Labor Day weekend at the Girdwood Community Room. Highlights included mushroom walks (forays) led by mushroom experts, talks by visiting mycologists, a five course dinner/fundraiser at the Hotel Alyeska benefitting the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts (GCVA), mushroom dye workshops, other mushroom themed art workshops and display tables set up for the public to peruse for free. Tickets for the Fungus Fair Formal Dinner can be purchased at the Tram Ticket Office at Alyeska Resort or by calling (907) 754-2275. All workshops and forays require advanced registration through Brown Paper Tickets.
