The Black Cadillacs w/ Thomas Wynn & The Believers
FRIDAY, AUGUST 8 DOORS: 7pm | SHOW: 8pm
THE BLACK CADILLACS The Black Cadillacs are a blues-based indie rock band from Knoxville, TN. With members from each of Tennessee's major cities, the state's famous sounds are well represented. Nashville's recent brand of rock n' roll revival takes center stage, but a wash of authentic Memphis blues-soul and a tinge of Knoxville country distill into a sound as rich and Southern as it is alive.
Alongside their native influences, The Black Cadillacs are heavily impacted by rock history. "Bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Pink Floyd laid the foundation for us. With the success of artists and bands like Jack White and My Morning Jacket, it's easy to see that blues-based rock n' roll still resonates with audiences," says guitarist, John Phillips. "We were inspired by the same bands; we're just trying to keep those sounds alive in our own way."
THOMAS WYNN & THE BELIEVERS Thomas Wynn & The Believers personifies rugged, yet uplifting spirited rock, sprinkled with southern soul R&B. Tunes brutally honest & heartfelt, the themes go beyond years of drugs, heartbreaks & hypocrisy to deliver a message of hope. "Soulful, gritty tunes, some as sweet as honeysuckle and others ferociously jagged reminiscent of Levon Helm, Neil Young and the Allman Brothers, but they still boldly radiate a sound and southern charm all their own." Metromix
A combination of blistering rock and southern soul, this fiery ensemble has been playing the Orlando, Florida original music circuit for the last three-plus years and have quickly garnered local celebrity status. Hailing from a musical family, the band is heavily influenced by Thomas and Olivia's father, Tom Wynn, who was the drummer for Cowboy. Through out the 70's, Cowboy toured with the Allman Brothers Band, and released four albums on the legendary Capricorn Records.Thomas' spirit-moving vocals are uniquely supported by sister Olivia Wynn's engaging and captivating voice and presence. Her strong vocal harmonies and wide-eyed response is the perfect companion to his yearning banshee cries.
Known for their powerful LIVE performances, TWTB have delighted audiences of all sizes, including festival goers at Bear Creek, Orlando Calling, Magnolia Fest, Blackwater Music Festival, BamaJam, Tropical Heatwave, Antiwarpt, Pojo Music Fest and FMFs. The group has also shared the stage with national acts Gov't Mule, Blackberry Smoke, The Dirty Guv'nahs, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Drivin' N' Cryin', Leon Russell, Drive-By Truckers, Donna The Buffalo, Leftover Salmon, JJ Grey & Mofro, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Honey Island Swamp Band, Cross Canadian Ragweed, The Lee Boys, Charlie Daniels, and many more.
