Advanced Lewbari Weekend with Lew Rubens - Houston
When we did the original Lewbari Weekend I taught you all years worth of learning in one weekend. Every small section of that weekend expands and could be a whole class. Let's expand! Now we start to move toward independent thought concerning suspension bondage. We'll start with one of the trickiest suspension positions, inversion. Then we move towards methods of problem solving you should be able to use for any suspension position that you want to try. After we figure out what some of the problems are, we'll go into my new Lewping System and learn a few new tools for solving problems. Then it's a free for all! Freestyle suspensions. Pick something you've always wanted to try and together we'll see if it's possible. Let's list priorities: Refresher: So what have you forgotten? Do you remember basics? Western, shibari, mix. Do a different single limb tie on each wrist. Everyone do a hogtie Torso support ties GiottOsadaSteveTK2! Ha ha! Boola boola that works! Inversion Methods: Ankles only- regular cinch tie. Gravity boot tie By waist By hips BnT (block and tackle) vs static point and transition Fancy showy version on static point Ankles only Gravity boot Tight parallel ankles cinched using bowline My larks head method By Waist Waist loops to comfortable tightness, rope to OHP, test it Drum? I don't know it CharlyB method I want to try By hips (The method I use most) Add hip/thigh harness slightly below hips Add torso support w/doubled over shoulder wraps After lift add rope to ankles and torso to distribute weight The lift With BnT Start with bottom on floor, keeping hip/thigh in place Raise, add ankles ropes and tension to what bottom says is good Add torso support rope and add tension to what bottom says is good Finish tie the however you want. On static point Lewping System loop temporarily on torso to OHP connect hip/thigh Lower torso loop to transition Have bottom help to keep hip/thigh ropes in place Show fancy showy and DANGEROUS method Problem solving for any suspension position Remember the main three body weight distribution points Visualize mentally AND physically For safety use a BnT first time Even when you want to do it static point you can use BnT AS the static point for safety Don't try dangerous positions or maneuvers without spotters! Lewping System How TheBondage Challenge created the Lewping System Making the Lewps - Vary size of Lewp for job at hand Using the Lewps - face up, face down, on hip/thigh, on legs Locking the Lewps down - Side to side locks, over shoulder locks Dangers: movers/wigglers can sometimes bounce out of Lewps! Adjusting height/transitions into other positions Bamboo with lewps Optional by majority vote: Tree faery tie Self puppeteering suspension! Midoris zigzag method of sideways suspension! Sideways in general Lotus Box arm tie? Fake strappado Plastic wrap suspensions! Dynamic suspensions (where you change positions) Freestyle practice Create anything you want!!
