Bear Yuba Land Trust - Jazz Series - The Sierra-5
The Sierra-5, a local group of musicians from the Sierra Jazz Society, will perform blues jazz and swing on Sunday, August 24.
The quintet is husband and wife Bill Douglass (bass and violin) and Nora Nausbaum (flute), John Girton (guitar), Kit Bailey (drums) and Al Bent (trombone). Nausbaum and Douglass are the artistic directors for Sierra Jazz Society's jazz camp, a five-day camp for teens and adults held each July for the past 14 years. Gates open at 5:00pm for General Admission lawn seating (bring your own low-legged, low-back chair). No glass containers or outside alcohol please. A cash bar will be open throughout the event.
A Silent Auction offers quality art, jewelry, vacation trips, practical goods and services, and much more, all up for bid on site. Kids under age 12 can attend free. Kids aged 12 and up require General Admission tickets for entrance. Seating is limited. Be sure to get your tickets early!
Event is rain or shine. All sales are final.
This concert is a benefit fundraiser to support the many programs of Bear Yuba Land Trust, a California nonprofit organization.
