ANIMATERRA WOMENS CHORUS - SPRING CONCERT - When Friends Rejoice
Animaterra Womens Chorus, now in its 17th year, is ready with another evening of music. We will sing of love and friendship, as well as loss and appreciation of what is in our world and our lives.
Since we believe that everyone can and should sing, you are encouraged to sing with us. We enjoy hearing you!
Theo Martey (from Ghana) and a drummer (from Guinea) will join us for a selection of African songs. They - the leader and a member of Akwaaba Traditional Drum and Dance Ensemble - gave a workshop for Animaterra to each the songs and drumming. They will perform with us in the concert. This is a special opportunity to experience the real thing.
As a non-profit committed to community support, a portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to Cedarcrest, the Keene facility for children with special needs.
We hope you will join us for the concert, listen and sing and enjoy the concert. There will be a reception following it; please stay and let us enjoy your company.
