Our focus for A Beautiful World #5 is: THE GIFT OF FAILURE, featuring musical guest Dessa and bestselling author and Oprah 'power list' pick; Sarah Lewis, who'll discuss her recently published book: The Rise: Creativity, the Gift of Failure, and the Search for Mastery.

A Beautiful World is a pilot program presented by Minnesota Public Radio, performed live in the UBS Forum. The show explores news through the lens of solutions journalism (http://solutionsjournalism.org/about/) - stories about what's working around the globe. A Beautiful World is performed in front of a live audience, in a fast-paced, mixed-media format. The 90 minute program is hosted by best-selling author Heather McElhatton, whom listeners may know from her contributions to This American Life, Marketplace and MPR News. The show features storytellers and newsmakers adventuring and finding solutions in today's complicated world.

ABW will be recorded for digital re-purposing and potential broadcast.
