Rise 'n Shine Arts Festival
We invite YOU to join us for an incredible experience. This weekend is truly a unique opportuniy for you to connect with others and be inspired in ways you never have before, and maybe never even thought possible! Through participtory activities, workshops, and diverse forms of art we'll experience new modes of creativity, and have TONS of FUN doing it! One of our big goals is to find healing and liberation through freedom of artistic expression. (ALL ages welcome!) There's a little something for everyone here. The special weekend gathering is about celebration, active participation, collaboration, creativity, diversity, the arts, food, and the beautiful land our food comes from. Our goal is to walk away from this weekend feeling inspired, motivated, cleansed, relaxed, liberated, and connected with one another. Here is your opportunity to make the weekend truly yours. We all bring something to the table to contribute... we learn from each other... we are not spectators, we are participants, and it's US that make this an amazing experience... are you ready?! We've got live music from some outstanding local artists such as DAVE BEEGLE and TECHNOSHAMAN, DJs, drums, 2 nights of stellar dance music, fire dancers, hula hoopers, aerial dancers, vendors of local goods and arts, fresh meals made of local seasonal ingredients to satisfy your taste buds, paint for you to get messy in, gardening workshops to nurture your soul and body, yoga and playful dance to feed your spirit, storytime to inspire, and oh so much more! Check in with your admission ticket at the entrance and get a wristband. Campers arrive anytime after 5PM Friday night and follow the signs to park and setup your tent. Children welcome, and children under 16 are free. Please no outsite dogs or pets. This is a Leave-No-Trace Event. This means that you pack out what you pack in. No common-use trash cans will be on-site so you pack out your trash. This includes ALL cigarette butts and empty cans if you choose to smoke or enjoy beverages. Alcohol will not be sold or distributed by Rise 'n Shine, however, if you choose to bring your own beverages to enjoy, please be mindful in doing so, as we are striving to create a fun, free, and high-vibrational communal experience. Cold running water will be available, as will public restrooms and limited shower use. If camping, please bring adequate shelter such as rain flys for your tent and / or layers and appropriate clothing for sudden changes in weather. One or two communal meals will be provided Friday and/or Saturday evening. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PLATE AND CUP! If camping, please be prepared with your own snacks and food for breakfasts, lunches, and possibly one dinner. Ideas of what to bring: A new idea, a smile, some tasty food, some cool artwork you made, a skill to teach, a talent to share, A hat, a water bottle, your own plate and cup, appropriate clothing in case of sudden weather changes, sunscreen, a fantastic attitude, and an open mind! IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
Kids 16 and under FREE! No dogs please. This is an outdoor event. There will be shade, restrooms, and running water available. Please pickup after yourself (Leave no Trace). Bring your own place, utensil, cup, and pack out your trash. Be respectful of others at the event. This space is meant for creativity and encouragement, (no belligerence or careless behavior will be tolerated. We will be leaving the land and each other even better than we found it!)
