Fire and Rain: Spring Concert
The year is 1970. The changes that marked the sixties are coming to an end and times are changing fast. The innocence of the fifties is long gone and a less idealistic time looms ahead. Amid all of this, music reflected both a longing for times gone by and a willingness to charge ahead. By audience request, we celebrate the music of the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, Crosby Stills and Nash, and Sly and the Family Stone. Let's go down memory lane and remember what songs soothed us through the events of Kent State, the words "Houston, we have a problem" and the last albums from some of our favorite groups.
