For 75 minutes watch as Jerry Ford morphs into a variety of characters, telling a riveting story of his life growing up in the cold streets of Detroit, MI. The audience follows Jerry on a journey filled with pain, survival, and self-discovery as he struggles with the murders of his older brother and best friend prior to being arrested at 17 years old. You share in his triumphs, as he gets a world class marital arts education, that instills in him discipline and respect. Watch as a troubled boy becomes an accomplished man complete with a college degree. After an hour of HOPE, you'll be inspired to persist through any darkness that you may encounter to find that guiding light.
Jerry Ford currently resides in New York as a working actor, writer & martial artist. He is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he received a BFA in Theater/TV. His one man show "Hope," based on his life, has been featured at a variety of colleges and universities, local theaters in Detroit, off-broadway theaters in New York City and motivational retreats.
