Caponi Art Park Bluegrass Festival and Fundraiser
The Caponi Art Park Bluegrass Festival brings nationally and regionally touring, award-winning bands, Monroe Crossing, The Okee Dokee Brothers, Roe Family Singers, and The Lost Jim Trio Trio its Theater in the Wood.  This first-ever community celebration of music and fundraiser for Caponi Art Park is geared for folks and families of all ages. Great bands and a beautiful outdoor venue surrounded by majestic park trees makes for a unique festival experience.  The day includes food vendors, kid-friendly activities and an open jam session starting at noon.

Lost Jim Trio
2:00 to 2:40
Playing everything from bluegrass, pre-war blues, older country songs to swing era tunes, Lost Jim Trio can be described as eclectic Americana. While the trio is newly formed, band mates "Lost Jim" Ohlschmidt on guitar and vocals, Ron Wiese on upright bass, and John Niemann playing fiddle and mandolin, are veteran musicians who have been on the music scene for decades.

The Okee Dokee Brothers
3:00 to 3:40 p.m.
Grammy award-winners, The Okee Dokee Brothers return to the Art Park.
The Okee Dokee Brothers record and perform family music with a goal to inspire children and their parents to get outside and experience nature. They believe this can motivate kids to gain a greater respect for the natural world, their communities, and themselves. Their latest album, Can You Canoe?, recently won the 55th annual Grammy Award for Best Children's Album.

Roe Family Singers
4:00 to 4:40 p.m.
The Roe Family Singers are a good-time, old-time hillbilly band from the Mississippi-headwaters community of Kirkwood Hollow, MN. Led by wife & husband Kim and Quillan Roe, the band blends characteristic old-time sound with rock & roll urgency and influence.
The band previously won the title of "World's Best" at the 29th annual Battle of the Jug Bands. In 2011, they were awarded the prestigious McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians.

Monroe Crossing
5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with a blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.  Among their many honors, Monroe Crossing was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2007. Monroe Crossing's 2012 performance at Caponi Art Park was one of our most popular events.

Located on 60-acres of rolling wooded hills in Eagan, Minnesota, Caponi Art Park and Learning Center is a distinctive community space offering cultural and educational experiences in an inviting, natural setting.  Festival proceeds support the Art Park's programming.  Supported in part by the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Association (MBOTMA).
