Not Your Mother's Music
Singer/Songerwriters Laura Vecchioine and Jodi Heights take over the Lily Pad this Mother's Day to share some of their newest, unrecorded music as well as audience favorites.  They are joined by Fabio Pirozzolo (percussion) and Claudia Garcia (bass).

Laura Vecchione Artist Bio:

On the release of Laura Vecchione's debut album, Deeper Waters, The Boston Globe dubbed her, "a bluesy songstress who has been compared to Lucinda Williams and June Carter..." and proudly proclaimed, "Vecchione is all ours."  A soulful mix of country, blues, gospel and pop influences, Laura's music has enjoyed radio play across the country including XM Satellite.  She has recorded with multi-Gramy-winning producers, toured the country in support of her original music and played opening stages for major label artists ranging from Diana Krall to Alan Jackson.  Vecchione's songs have been placed on national television including TNT's hit drama, Saving Grace and A&E's The Glades.  But what sets her apart as a writer and artist is  a rare depth and maturity.  This is a singer who looks you in the eye with compassion and playfulness and connects straight to the heart.

Her current CDs, GIRL IN THE BAND, DEEPER WATERS, and the single TELL THEM ABOUT THE DREAM available on CDBaby.com

Jodi Heights Artist Bio:

With her supple, textured voice, Jodi Heights paints a range of emotions and colors from iridescent highs to verdant lows. Her fearless and vulnerable piano-driven songs are enriched by lyrics that plumb everyday life for layers of meaning.  With an approach that's been compared to Joni Mitchell, Sara McLachlin, and Sara Bareilles, Jodi sings life unexpected.  Through lyrics at times enlightening and contradictory, she explores themes of self-respect, love gone wrong, prejudice, and violence with a distinctively individual perspective.  Heights is currently working on her first studio album.
