My Body Sings Electric, Kiven and TBA
My Body Sings Electric's music resonates with a sense of playfulness and lust for life. When you meet them in person, it's easy to see why. Call their music indie. Call it pop. Call it what you will. But when you connect with the music from this band of lovable misfits, you'll feel as if you just met your five new best friends. The band's new album, "Part 1: The Night Ends" was released on February 25th, 2014, and is followed a list of impressive dates including recently sharing the stage with Young The Giant, Group Love, and Bastille at the 1st Bank Center in Colorado, which sold-out over 7,000 tickets. "Part 1: The Night Ends" hit the Billboard Indie Charts in week one, charting at #156 and topped the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #1 in their region. MBSE's podcast, The Awful Truth was recently picked up by idobi Radio, which has over 20K listeners a day. MTV Buzzworthy premiered the music video for the new single, New Friends (MTV Buzzworthy premiere)
KIVEN is on the upswing of the ROCK curve with their long-awaited full-length album to be released February 25th. They manage to make history with the drummer/man behind At The Drive-In's arrangements, Tony Hajjar producing an outside band for his first time. Merging thick guitars and entrancing harmonies, the record properly captures the group's heavy and hypnotic sound, preserving its enigmatic intensity and ethereal spirit in the process. Kiven has shared the stage with an array of talent ranging from Young The Giant, The Mowgli's, and He Is Legend, to Houses and Half Moon Run. Their previous single was played at over 150 stations across the U.S. and Entertainment Weekly named them a top 5 band "Great Indie Discovery of CMJ" in 2012. The band is receiving full support from BMI, press and radio on the current album, and it continues to build toward the release.
