Project Scleroderma: Beneath the Surface
St. Louis you are in for a treat as we are the 2nd city to premiere the documentary Project Scleroderma: Beneath the Surface.
Join The Relief Foundation and writer, Christy McCaffrey for the screening of this film that was narrated by Bob Saget and directed by JC Costa and Bill Connell of New Pace Productions.
Christy McCaffrey is the founder of Project Scleroderma. In September of 2009 Christy's mom, Sandy Selfridge, died at age 58 from an aggressive form of Scleroderma. After her mom's passing Christy reached out to patients living with Scleroderma to learn more about the disease. In speaking to these patients, Christy learned that they are desperate to help bring awareness to this cause. Along with New Pace Productions, Christy set out to produce a documentary film, titled "Beneath The Surface". The team went on to interview patients from all over the world as well as leading researcher Dr. Fredrick Wigley, director of The Johns Hopkins Scleroderma Center in Baltimore, MD.
We will give away 10 Project Scleroderma T-shirts. Plus, Hardee's Food Systems LLC has donated their entire Deluxe Suite at Busch Stadium and we will raffle 2 pairs of tickets to see the Cards play the Phillies on Friday, June 20. Raffle tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. They can be purchased at the door.
Doors open at 7pm, film starts at 7:30pm. This is a Red Carpet event, so come looking Fabulous!!
