World Music Weekend #1
World Music Weekends are weekend educational festivals that bring musicians together from different cultures to share tunes, songs, dances, food, and conversation. These gatherings have been inspired by "Ethno," a network of international music exchange events taking place throughout the year in various locations around the world. The program schedule for our World Music Weekend draws from participant submitted proposals, making each WMW one-of-a-kind and reflective of the passions and talents of those involved. With funding from MakeWork, and through the Folk School of Chattanooga, we are able to invite local teenagers to participate for free in each of our World Music Weekends in 2014.
WMW is spearheaded by Christie Burns and Kelsey Wells.
