Bay Bucks Local Arts & Music Bazaar, featuring Portal by Jon Mitchell
Come enjoy locally grown East Bay culture in all its beautiful forms. Browse the wares of your neighborhood artists and artisans, taste local food and drink, and stay for an evening of Oakland-made rock and roll.
Everything you hear, taste, and buy at the Bazaar will be brought to you by local businesses in the Bay Bucks network. Bay Bucks is a community currency that lets local businesses support each other. It keeps more money here in the Bay Area supporting the local economy, allowing our area's workers, artists, artisans, and musicians to keep making stuff you love. For this night only, you'll be the first Bay Bucks users and enjoy purchasing in our locally-designed money.
Jon Mitchell is an Oakland-based guitarist who just released PORTAL, a psychedelic rock record steeped in Northern California. His band will perform the record from start to finish (with a few surprises), and everyone who buys a ticket to the Bazaar gets a free, high-quality digital copy. PORTAL was recorded entirely in Oakland and San Francisco. You can hear the record and find out more at http://jonmitchell.net/music/portal
The Bazaar will be hosted at the 25th Street Collective, an artisan-production and workshop space for slow food and slow fashion.
