LESSONS YOU CAN'T UNLEARN

CIC (formerly Chemically Imbalanced Comedy) is proud to present the premiere of "Lessons You Can't Unlearn," an evening of two sketch comedy shows, "Summer Boys" and "Oklahoma!: The Life and Times of West Reems." "Lessons You Can't Unlearn" will play Thursdays at 8:00 pm April 17 May 22, 2014 at the CIC Theater, 1422 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL.

"Summer Boys" examines the moments where we supposedly turn the corner in our lives and step into adulthood. Written and performed by Paul Chimko and Mike Malarkey, "Summer Boys" brings comedic light to first jobs, falling in and out of love and deciding how much of our past we bring with us to the future. Ultimately Chimko and Malarkey will, whether they realize it or not, grow up. "Summer Boys" is directed by Daniel Shar.

Paul Chimko has studied at iO Theater and Second City. He performs at the iO Theater with Dogs; at CIC with the improve team, Hat, and the Playground Theater with Yes Diggity. Paul is a graduate of Michigan State University.

Mike Malarkey is a graduate of the Annoyance and the iO Theater's Training Centers. He co-writes, directs and performs the web series "Young Couple." Mike has worked with comedy groups Kill All Comedy, Really Really Nice, Fanny, and Super Human. He performs at the iO Theater on the house team Denver and musical directs for The Second City.

"Oklahoma!: The Life and Times of West Reems," is a one-man sketch show written and performed by Tyler Parker. An Oklahoma native, Parker uses the Sooner state as inspiration for many laid-back characters. "Oklahoma!: The Life and Times of West Reems," is directed by Clayton Margeson.

Tyler Parker is a graduate of the iO Theater's Training Center and The Second City Conservatory. He performs at the iO Theater with the team Gold Star, at CIC with Mad Contender, and at The Playground Theater with Yes Diggity.

Tickets to each performance of "Lessons You Can't Unlearn," are $10 or $5 with a student ID.
