QUIET WATER: WETLANDS OF THE WATERSHED
Journey into the watershed with Clay Antieau, Seattle Public Utilities scientist and local authority on Northwest native plants. Highlights of the day include Eagle Ridge Meadow, a 40-acre fen; 14 Lakes, a strange "kettle" wetland; and a forested bog in the Rock Creek riparian wetland complex. Participants must be able to handle 2 - 3 miles of moderate hiking over muddy and uneven terrain.
