Whidbey Bread and Whole Grain Workshop
The goal of the conference is to introduce home bakers to the rich story of whole grains, beginning with the seed in the field: who is growing grains and milling them, why grains grown nearby are beneficial, traditional and the new frontier of food, and why making healthy breads, pastries and pizza from local grains is more delicious now than ever before.
The fee for the two day conference is $150.00. The fee includes Friday's sampling of foods and beverages made on Whidbey Island, Paella dinner with fresh island-grown tossed salad and dessert, Saturday's breakfast (featuring whole grain croissants from Tree-Top Baking) and lunch.
