HomeGrown Talent
On April 27 at 1:00pm we have a real family treat, titled "HomeGrown Talent". This is a concert demonstrating a variety of adult talent with ties to the Edgar area. With a little country, folk, classical, jazz, brass, Motown, pop, and even Elvis selections we are planning a Sunday afternoon to delight all. The program will boast adults who are no strangers to the stage as they have composed, performed, toured, recorded, won awards the whole gamut. Rather than burden someone to design a complete show, we have elected to coordinate an array of 15-20 minute segments from many talented people. Performers will include: Kat Webb (Kathy Hannemann), who sang with Motown's Jr. Walker's All-Stars; Rick Haanstad, lead singer of Kentucky Blend; John Greiner, leader of SwingShift Big Band and jazz instructor at the Wausau Conservatory; Steve Schumacher and Tim Karlen, originally from Straight Shooter Band; Scott Baeseman, composer and pianist- a quarter-finalist for the Nat'l Music Teacher of the Year GRAMMY; David Anthony Berg, recorded 5 CDs of original country and folk music; and Elvis (Fred Heidmann), who performed in the Lacrosse Elvis Explosion as well as the Special Olympics opening ceremony. $10 Advanced reserved seats are available through www.brownpapertickets.com (search Edgar). We are expecting a large crowd for this event thus any remaining tickets may be available as general admission at the door for $15 each
